Brown Rice Mushroom Pilaf

Ingredients

  • 1 large ONION
  • 1 cup BROWN RICE
  • 1 cup MUSHROOMS
  • 1 tbsp UNREFINED SUNFLOWER OIL
  • 2 cups WATER
  • 4 servings SEA SALT
  • 0.33333334 tsp GROUND PEPPER

Steps

  • 1) Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  • 2) Saut chopped onion and sliced mushrooms for 5 minutes.
  • 3) Add brown rice and stir to coat in oil.
  • 4) Add water.
  • 5) Bring to a boil, then simmer for 30 minutes.
  • 6) Remove from heat and cover with a lid.
  • 7) Let it rest until all liquid is absorbed.
